The Magic Jack is a USB device that instantly turns your computer into a telephone, from local to long distance, incoming and outgoing all for just $20 a year. We figured this is a product worth putting to the test to see how it performs.
Installation and setting up the Magic Jack was a breeze, it took only about 5 minutes and we were off and running with our 30 day free trial, now to prove this is free they don’t even take your credit card information for the trial, we like that.
We were off and running with our Magic Jack on a Windows Vista machine and making test phone calls in minutes, everyone we called said we sounded perfectly clear just like we would on a regular more expensive land line. We called land lines, cell phones, local, long distance it didn’t matter the Magic Jack worked great. We had a few people call us back to test the incoming calls and that worked perfect too.
From start to finish the Magic Jack was very user friendly and easy to setup. One thing to note, the product’s software that runs the interface on your machine does not come with an uninstall feature, therefore it makes it difficult to take the software off your machine if you decide to not use the Magic Jack anymore, but we really don’t see a reason why you would stop using this service – its easy and way more affordable than your regular phone service.
