Ninja Master Prep Review

Where to Buy This Product:
1. Amazon
2. Macys

As someone who tries to eat healthy, I often use my blender and food processor.  I have spent some serious money on top of the line products and they work great when I break them out.  However, I am always looking for an expensive alternative I can use for smaller, simpler and quick jobs.  The infomercial I saw for the Ninja Master Prep made this product look like one I want to add to my kitchen immediately.  But, after our failed tests with the Magic Bullet I needed to see how this product really worked.

I really have to say that the Ninja Master Prep is an impressive package.  The kit includes the interchangeable master pod (power source), a huge 48 oz. pitcher with blades and lid, and a 2-cup bowl with blades and lid.  The claim to fame of the Ninja Master Prep is its dual-blade chopping action.  Each container comes with its own set of two staggered sets of dual blades.  The spacing between the sets of blades allows you to chop uniformly and the pulsing action from the master pod lets you easily control the size of the chops.  From rough chops down to crushing ice, the Ninja Master Prep can handle the job.  Everything but the master pod (which never gets dirty) is both microwave and dishwasher safe for easy clean up.

We immediately set out to replicate the ice crushing test they show in the infomercial.  In my opinion this is one of the truest tests to show how well the blades really perform.  Just like on TV, in no time at all we had finely crushed ice.  The result was truly impressive and would have been perfect for including in a smoothie or frozen drink.  We opened up the recipe guide and decided to try out the Ninja Master Prep by making some guacamole.  We piled the ingredients in the bowl, pulsed away, and in a couple of minutes we had some really nice guac.  Everything was chopped evenly and smoothly and the guacamole tasted great.

For the final test, we once again used the included recipe book to make a fruit smoothie.  The 48 oz. pitcher made easy work of frozen strawberries, bananas, and some sherbet to provide an incredibly smooth and even frozen drink.  There wasn’t a single chunk of anything in the entire batch and the smoothie easily poured out of the pitcher without clogging.

Pros:

  • Interchangeable Master Pos
  • 2 Mixers - Pitcher and Bowl (both come with lids for storage)
  • Dual Blades for Awesome Chopping Action

Cons:

  • Wish the 2 Cup Bowl Was Bigger

This was one of those As Seen On TV products that we were all fighting over after we finished testing.  It performed amazing and worked as well for us as it looked in the infomercial.  It can pretty much handle what the high end gear will at just a fraction of the cost.  Although I didn’t get to take it home after testing, I purchased one for myself and have already made great use of it.  We give the Ninja Master Prep our top rating of 6 out of 6 Stars.

I saw the infomercial and was skeptical. Saw one on the black friday sale and picked it up. All I can say is "It is wonderful!" Not even 2 second flat the ice did exactly the same as it did on tv. Still experimenting with the drinks. They say no liquid needed to make those fruit drinks. But we need to add some type of liquid. Not a big deal though. The ease of working it is great and the clean up is so easy. I've been working mine for only a week, but I am far impressed and I got rid of all my other appliances (that would require chopping/blending/mixing) I wish I would have bought one for my mom at the sale.

I now have two Ninja Master's and both have a striped part in the power heads. I have no idea where to find the part to repair them. I will have to just take it back to Wal Mart I guess.

I used mine one time and it stopped working.. Im not happy to say the least...
