Like millions of Americans, I love kitchen gadgets. When it comes to new ideas in the kitchen, As Seen On TV products take the cake (no pun intended). It seems like there is a never-ending flow of As Seen On TV products for use in the kitchen. Of course they all look great in the infomercial, but they don’t always deliver at home. Pancake Puffs looked wonderful in the infomercial I saw. If it worked as well as they were showing, I could really see myself using this pan. So, we ordered one up and put it to the test.
The Pancake Puff is a pan with 7 wells you can fill with various batters to make light and fluffy puffs. The pan itself is forged from cast iron and covered with a non-stick surface. At the time of this posting the Pancake Puff offer included the Pancake Puff Pan, an insulated pan handle cover, a pastry brush, a flavor filler, a sugar shaker, the recipe book and a large supply of flipping sticks all for $14.99 plus shipping and handling.
We purchased blueberry muffin mix, chocolate chocolate chip muffin mix and pancake mix to test various batters in the Pancake Puff pan. We even got some Cool Whip to fill the chocolate chocolate chip muffin puffs using the flavor filler we got with our kit. After mixing up the batters we cooked up some puffs according to the recipe guide’s directions. With each one of the batters the puffs cooked up nicely and were extremely easy to flip. After flipping they finished cooking in minutes and came right out of the non-stick wells without leaving a trace. The cooking process was truly a breeze and worked exactly as advertised (we did need to adjust the temperature as the pan got too hot during the chocolate chocolate chip muffin puff test).
Now that the cooking was done, the proof is in the pudding. We tasted each of the three puffs we had made and were all delicious. They were perfectly cooked and came out light and fluffy. We used the flavor filler to easily fill some puffs with Cool Whip and even used the sugar shaker to cover some puffs in powdered sugar. Needless to say, in a matter of minutes all of the puffs were devoured.

Pancake Puffs turned out to be one of the in-the-kitchen products that worked exactly as advertised. It is useful pan that was fun to use and made delicious puffs. I used it over the weekend to make my kids chocolate chip pancake puffs and they couldn’t get enough of them. Any item that makes it quick and easy to produce great tasting food and is easy to clean is a winner to me. We at StarReviews loved the Pancake Puff and gave it our top rating of 6 out of 6 Stars.
