Every now and then StarReviews sets out to test an As Seen on TV product and is disappointed with our results. Well, disappointed would be an understatement of our results with the Quick Minute Food Dehydrator! We tested the Quick Minute Food Dehydrator with various foods that were listed in the quick recipe guide, including fruits and even beef jerky. Not only were the cooking times inaccurate for all the foods we tested, we were simply never able to get the Quick Minute Food Dehydrator to perform.
We only laid out around $10 for the product, so the pain wasn’t too bad in the wallet, but the fact that we could have easily just tossed the crisp Hamilton into the trash and saved a trip to the store stings a bit. The Quick Minute Food Dehydrator claims to quickly dehydrates fruits and vegetables in your microwave, giving you healthy and low cost snacks. Our results varied from mushy banana slices to warm thinly sliced browned apples, the included bonus mandolin slicer worked pretty well for the apples, but even that was average at best.
StarReviews.com has reviewed many As Seen on TV products and has yet to give a product a rating of 0 out of 6 stars, but there is a first for everything. The Quick Minute Food Dehydrator receives a lousy 0 out of 6 star rating, save yourself the $10 and many minutes of wasted time cooking!
