We saw the infomercial for the Omni Dual Saw and immediately knew it was something we had to check out. Aside from the fact we all love power tools, the infomercial shows some pretty impressive stuff that would be easy for us to replicate. After a quick trip to Home Depot, we were loaded up with materials and ready to start cutting. The Omni Dual Saw is a hand held rotary saw that features their patented counter rotating blade technology. Having two blades that simultaneously rotate in opposite directions is supposed to allow the Omni Dual Saw to cut through virtually anything without having to change blades. The blades contain tungsten carbide-tipped blades that hard like a diamond. As a result the saw is supposed to have less feedback, reduced overheating, and minimal vibrations while providing precision cuts with less splintering.
We really wanted to replicate what we saw in the infomercial and tested the Omni Dual Saw over a variety of materials. We cut PVC, wood trimming, sheet metal, shaped metal, cooper tubing, wood lattice and oak. In every situation the Omni Dual Saw performed exceptionally well. We even used it to plunge cut right through our table and the saw easily went right through it and was able to cut back and forth in both directions. As promised, there was virtually no kickback and the saw was super easy to use.
Pros:
- Dual blades
- Safety features
- Versatility
We really put the Omni Dual Saw to the test and it handled it everything we threw at it with the greatest of ease. We are extremely confident in our endorsement of this product and feel it would make an excellent addition to anyone’s tool collection. No surprise here that we give the Omni Dual Saw 6 out of 6 Stars.
