We are big fans of the late, great Billy Mays and his pitch during the Samurai Shark infomercial is some of his best work. He really does make this knife sharpener look impressive. We definitely have some knives and scissors that could use a good sharpening so we put the Samurai Shark to the test.

We put the Samurai Shark to the test with both a dull chef’s knife and an old pair of scissors. In both of our tests the Samurai Shark did an excellent job of sharpening the edge. The knife and the scissor’s cutting performance were both significantly enhanced after just a few swipes with the Samurai Shark. The sharpener was extremely easy to use and we felt very safe using it.
