We recently came across the Spongetech Complete Car Wash System and were so intrigued by it we had to put it to the test. Saving both time and money while washing our cars sounds absolutely wonderful. The big question we had was just how well would this kit actually clean and wax or cars? We got out the hose and the bucket and found out just how good the Spongetech Complete Car Wash System really is.
The kit comes with three items for washing and waxing your vehicle: a wash and wax sponge, a detail and degreaser sponge and a chamois for drying. The wash and wax sponge has a high quality car wash and carnauba wax embedded inside it. So all you need to do is wet the sponge, squeeze it and use it. The detailer sponge is also embedded with a degreaser and soap and works the same way. The sponges are good for up to 8 washes, contain anti microbial agents, and are both earth friendly and recyclable. The detergents used are also environmentally safe and biodegradable.
We put the Spongetech Complete Car Wash System to the test on a dirty black car. We followed the directions and washed our vehicle completely using both the wash and wax sponge as well as the detail & degreaser sponge. We then used the included eliminator chamois to dry it off.
Our results were pretty mixed. For the wash, the Spongetech did an okay job. There were definitely some spots that the wax and wash sponge didn’t handle very well and we needed to go over to get completely clean. The detail and degreaser sponge fared a bit better and did a nice job on the wheels. However, the chamois failed miserably and in the end we had to get another one out to dry the car.

If you are looking for a quick, easy and inexpensive way to wash your car the Spongetech Complete Car Wash System is a solid option for you. Its going to get the job and deliver fairly decent results. If this is your situation then we rate the Spongetech a solid 5 out of 6 stars. If you are more serious about your car care and are looking for that killer wash and wax, then this may not be the right product for you. The Spongetech Complete Car Wash System fell a bit short for the true detailers out there and would only rate 3 out 6 Stars for them.
