Hungry Girl. It sounds like a title straight off the front page of Vogue. The criticisms that have during the last few years been levelled at those ever shrinking models who lead the way in the world of fashion. It isn’t. Neither models, corporate man eaters nor leaders of the W.I. Hungry Girl is the website that is quickly rising to fame and has now appeared on the Rachel Ray show.
Hungry Girl has been set up by an ordinary all American girl called Lisa, who during the course of her life to date is reported to have encountered all of the same do’s and don’ts related to over eating, binging and generally letting one’s eyes rule their stomachs!
We’ve all been there, myself included and whilst I have neither the time nor the inclination to go scouring the supermarket shelves for the latest low fat products, I would have the inclination to ask my wife to give Hungry Girl ideas a try whilst cooking those latest delights for me, it certainly wouldn’t do my own midriff any harm!
The idea of dieting is as old as the word food and you may wonder why Hungry Girl has suddenly hit the spotlight. I suggest you visit the website and take a look; as ideas go, it’s a cracker; Simple to follow, endearing, truthful and I might add with some very good branding and a lady that can’t help but remind me of that all American series starring Elizabeth Montgomery; "Bewitched".

Whilst the lovely animated black haired Elizabeth Montgomery lookalike doesn’t look particularly hungry on the site, it is not difficult to imagine her twitching her nose and making you thin, and perhaps that is the subliminal message they are trying to send out, anybody can do it and it doesn’t hurt!
Hungry Girl has produced a small range of branded items on the site which once again are simple, yet tasteful and which quite honestly I would be happy to be seen out with people wearing these goods, they’re fun!
Boasting over 250 articles and recipes, Hungry Girl appears to have started out as some form of diarised blog and has taken that leap forward into a potentially profitable business; the site itself is likely to appeal to most and will certainly be gaining the right kind of exposure following their appearance on the Rachel Ray Show.
Whilst the name Hungry Girl may portray to internet users an impression that it is a bespoke and girl only site, one must remember that it’s the diary of a girl’s own experiences and perhaps Lisa may in time consider the entire WWW audience as there are indeed just as many Hungry Guys out there who may wish to benefit from similar advice?
Full marks to Lisa and I wish you all the best of British luck!
