As of this past Tuesday, Luke is down to two ladies, and there is probably more than one More to Love viewer watching who is confident they know who he will pick in the finale. Luke traveled to Hawaii with the ladies and enjoyed one group date, and three individual dates with each of the ladies. Mandy, Tali, and Malissa still remain. He spent a large portion of what we saw of the dates assuring the ladies he was in love with them and boosting their confidence they would be chosen. His onscreen interviews were also meant to convince the audience Luke had no idea who he was going to pick.
Quite honestly, in the weeks during More To Love V’s run, he has never seemed more insincere. Each of the girls was told not to worry and we heard how attracted he was to each one. The highlight of his insincerity came as Tali walked toward him on the beach for their date. The day before he had enjoyed a great date with Malissa that ended in a bed covered in rose petals. The next day, watching Tali walk he stated "... it only took Tali walking toward me on the beach to make me forget about my date with Malissa." Moments before, he had been going on and on about how Malissa had the potential to break his heart from the moment he first saw her.
He did spend a good portion of his time in Malissa’s presence and during his onscreen interviews wondering if she was sincere. This was the first week it seemed she stood a chance of being sent home. He acknowledged that he felt comfortable with Mandy and that she was probably the woman most ready for a relationship. Their date also ended in a bed, this one on the top of a boat in the middle of the ocean. They had spent the day riding ATV vehicles through the Hawaiian countryside and he pointed out how happy he is with her sense of adventure and fun.
It was this revelation about Mandy that made her departure seem so strange. His date with Tali involved scuba diving in the ocean, and she was distraught the entire time. Luke described her reluctance as cute, but it is hard to believe that any man who values adventure would be amused by her white-knuckle grip on the boat. She eventually came around, but still appeared to register low on the fun scale, at least compared to the two other women.
The woman Luke seems to be leaning toward now, and since the beginning of More to Love, is Malissa. The producers and editors have painted her as the manipulative one, there just to win the game. Luke, as well, showed some indication in Hawaii that he saw this aspect of her. But in the long run it did not seem to bother him. Any girl who has seen the man of her dreams pick the wrong girl for the wrong reasons will have no problem relating to each of the ladies sent home so far. Luke seems to have fallen for the one girl in the room that could take him or leave him, and she is more concerned about being the winner than dating a nice man.

Chances are, Mandy was the only one shocked at being sent home at the end of their Hawaii trip. This means that for the finale next week, Luke’s choice will be between Tali and Malissa. Both women get to meet Luke’s family, and it appears from the previews that his mother connects with Tali, while his dad feel their religious differences may affect them in the long run. If Luke picks Malissa, it goes to show men love the chase, whereas if he picks Tali, it could show that love conquers all. Tune in to More To Love next Tuesday at 9 pm central time on Fox.
