This is a fun post for all the Twilight fans. Here are some trivia and little known facts about the Twilight movies.
Over 5,000 actors auditioned for the role of Edward in the movie. When Robert Pattinson auditioned for the role, he flew from England to the director's home to audition. There he met Kristen Stewart, who had already been cast as Bella Swan, to perform the audition with her. The scene that was used for the audition was the love scene in the meadow.
Before being cast as Edward Cullen in the movie, Robert Pattinson had never even heard of the Twilight books. He only auditioned for the movie because he had liked Kristen Stewart's performance in Into the Wild.
There were plenty of pairs of contacts on the movie set as Kristen Stewart had to wear brown contacts to play Bella and the Cullens had to wear topaz colored contacts.
The actors who played vampires in the movie had to sign a contract stating that they would stay out of the sun so that they would remain pale for the shoot of the movie.

The author of the Twilight saga, Stephanie Meyer has a cameo in the Twilight movie. She can be seen standing next to a laptop ordering a vegetarian salad in the beginning scene in the diner.
Kristen Stewart wears a wig in the movie as her hair was a reddish color while filming and Bella's hair needed to be a warm brown color.
It only took 6 weeks for the script for Twilight to be finished. Many people believe this is the reason why Twilight may not have been as great as a movie and did not represent the book as well. The movie then only took 48 days to shoot.
The director of Twilight Catherine Hardwicke says that she would have loved to tape scenes for Bella's dreams that were described in the book. She says that the reason why she didn't include dream sequences was because there was no money to film them.
Originally, the director wanted Robert to have long hair for his role as Edward in the movie. After eight hours of extensions being put into his hair, Robert absolutely hated the extensions. Robert got his way and the extensions were removed before filming.
In the cafeteria scene at school, Robert Pattinson's character Edward has visible armpit sweat stains, but according to the Twilight book this would be impossible. Vampires do not sweat, cry, or have normal blood.
Edward drives a Volvo C30 in the movie. The license plate on his car is from Oregon when it should be from Washington.
In the final credits for Twilight "Emmet" is spelled wrong.
These are just some fun facts about the Twilight movie, which can be found on DVD. The second installment of the Twilight saga, New Moon comes out in theaters later this year.
