Etrade Mobile Trading iPhone App is definitely a hit with me. Now in general, I trade anywhere from 8-10 trades a months and hold anywhere from 1-6 positions at any one time and while I have tested other firms, I maintain my active trading account with eTrade.
The iPhone App is free and it contains everything that the trading component of eTrade online contains. The app is easy to use and about as intuitive as the eTrade online interface. You have full access to your account and portfolios that you have setup onlline. That includes watch lists and order history, basically anything you setup online is viewable and active in the iPhone App. Nice and clean and a very good use of the iPhone screen.
Now I am not a day trader but I am totaly impressed with the Streaming Quotes and the visual last trade tracking. There is a running bar that shows red or green to track up or down ticks on the last tradeor you can switch to the active charting which shows the live chart in Streaming mode. Overall, the same stuff you can get online but very nice to have in a mobile format and I have sat in front of CNBC and watched the tick and it is very close to real time accuracy.

The Etrade iPhone App is a nice, free app from eTrade, (I am not sure if they have it for other platforms) and really, if you have an eTrade Online Account you might as well have the app regardless of how much stock trading you do. The only downside that I see if that there is no way to store my password in the iPhone so I need to type it in everytime I start the eTrade App. I suspect if I dig a little further I will find an iPhone app to save passwords. Overall ... I give the
eTrade Mobile Trading iPhone App 6 Stars.
