I had no clue that a sound effects library existed online. I saw my friend making drum beats on his desk in 7th grade and I was very intrigued. I began to make my own custom drum beats on my desk after being amazed by the sounds it made. My left hand was the kick and my right hand was the snare. I always wondered, “What if I could make these drums for real?” I had no clue about computers in 7th grade; I was too busy thinking about girls and professional wrestling at the time. I discovered this cool program that my ex-roommate used to make his own music. He would constantly make music and piss me off because he would not let me get any sleep.
I finally banged on his door and I asked him where he got that program from. He said he searched for it online and I could not believe it. I was not the most musically inclined person in the world, but the thought of making my own drum beats that I created in 7th grade made me very interested. In 2006, I began to tamper with this audio software. I finally had a chance to create my own drums with the sound effects library this audio software included. If you are an aspiring musician and you cannot afford recording time in a physical studio, audio software can save you lots of time and money. Some of these audio software programs are absolutely free and some of them cost less than one hundred dollars. These programs include an authentic sound effects library, a recorder, and other options you can have fun with.
I also discovered that there were more programs exactly like the one I was using. There are a plethora of audio software programs that include a real sound effects library and other tools that a physical recording studio actually uses. Think of these programs as “virtual recording studios”. You can do everything in a virtual recording studio that you can do in an actual studio and in the comfort of your own home! These programs are not the only resources for getting your own sounds.

There are many websites that contain free or premium sound effects and you can even use these sounds for commercial and non-commercial usage. These websites provide you with drum kits, drum loops, sound effects, instruments, vocals, and plugins for your own personal use. Many of these websites are free, but some of them charge fees for their sound effects library. If I were a musician, I would take advantage of these websites and software programs. If you want a cost effective way of recording music or you just like to create music as a hobby, this state-of-the-art technology will fulfill your fantasies!
