We really liked what we found on the Budget car rental website, and have to say you will save money here. If you're on a budget, then Budget is definitely the right car rental site for you.
Their website navigation was fairly simple to grasp and we didn't have too hard a time getting around their site. The signup process for your next car rental should be a snap too, as you can fill it out in about a minute.

Star Reviews admired the Budget car rental service for offering low prices and a variety of options. However, we did notice that finding a local Budget rental location was a small challenge. Their customer support should be mentioned, as well, as their email support was one of the only ones in our reviews to send us back a reply. Telephone support was helpful and intuitive, as were the bevy of frequently asked questions. They snagged themselves 5.5 Stars!

Alamo
Alamo is definitely serious about its car rentals. Anything you may need is laid out clearly for you to find. They are a no-nonsense website and there is an abundance of car rental guides and special offers here.
When we tried to find a car in our designated location, we noticed how difficult it was. We were looped through an online form and consistently noticed that Enterprise had cars where we wanted them, but it took longer to find availabilities with Alamo.

Star Reviews likes that Alamo made a name for itself in the car rental world. We didn't like that alot of their rentals came in at higher rates than some of their competition. However, there are tons of promotions and special offers here, so coming out at a lower rate shouldn't be too difficult. When our email customer support experience left us wanting more, the telephone support saved the day and even tried to help us save some money in the reservation process. What a shocker! We really appreciated their down to earth customer support, which is why we assign them 5.5 Stars!

Hertz
We had to look at Hertz in our car rental reviews and we're definitely glad we did. They offer some great selections, such as high-end rentals like Hummers, Corvettes and other fun rides.
Upon entry to the Hertz website, we noticed how visually appealing it was, with bright, bold colors. It made us want to dig deeper and some of their competitors' can learn a thing or to from their site design!

Star Reviews likes that Hertz tries to appeal to a more progressive crowd, with their cool rental options and charity-focused Green Collection. With that being said, we noticed that their prices came in a bit higher than some of the other car rental sites we reviewed, which didn't impress us much. But, reserving your car rental should be a snap and we liked the special perks like the #1 Club membership, where members can get special discount rates. The FAQs database was very helpful, as was telephone customer support. But, email support could definitely use a lesson in effective customer service. Overall, we feel they should receive 5.0 Stars!

Thrifty
Before we close out our car rental reviews, we had to take a look at the Thrifty website. After all, they're practically a household name. In all seriousness, we liked what we found through their car rental website.
A cool feature we liked was the 'You Pick the Wild Card' option, where you are guaranteed a mid-sized vehicle for paying less than a 'mid-size price.'

Ok, but let's really dish some dirt. We had a tough time finding car rentals because the website navigation itself kept looping us to error pages. This definitely took a toll on our patience, as we have plenty of reviews to get to! Pricing is good here, with lower rates than several of their competitors' price ranges. Live chat and telephone customer support were friendly, and there is a FAQs database, so you aren't left in the dark. We feel this warrants them 5.0 Stars!

We thought you'd appreciate some car rental reviews, so we had to look at National for their features and pricing.
Ok, right off the bat, we noticed how expensive they were. They definitely had some of the highest rates we encountered when comparing their pricing to their competition. But, we must say that they had a plethora of special promotions and great deals on last minute specials.

Star Reviews liked the variety of special promotions available through the National car rental website. Searching for car rentals in geographic locales we were interested in took some time, as we were presented with 'Sold Out' when we entered our criteria. It took us a few times to find what we were looking for. National had some of the highest car rental prices we came across, which we didn't appreciate. There is a detailed FAQs section and efficient telephone support, though. In the end, we feel they earned 4.5 Stars!

Enterprise
Enterprise definitely impressed us with its low prices on car rentals. They surely had the lowest rates in comparison to all of their car rental competitors.
Weekend rentals are a dealbreaker here, as you can save up to 50% off weekly rates. You can even buy a car on the Enterprise website, if you feel so inclined.

Star Reviews appreciates any site that saves you money, and if you're headed on vacation or simply need to rent a car, then Enterprise is just the place to look. There are several rental options here, like business rentals, commercial truck rentals and long-term rentals. We also noticed how they consistently had car rentals available in the geographic locations we needed. Their customer support experience was pretty good, but email support kind of disappointed us. Telephone support was really helpful, so that put us in a better mood. All in all, they receive 4.0 Stars!

We had to check out the Avis car rental service, as they pride themselves on being your best choice when you just need that car to get around in.
It was a breeze to navigate this website and our team truly appreciated the numerous specials and car rental guides we unearthed on this site. We also loved the GPS navigation equipment available with most rentals.

Star Reviews wasn't blown away by the Avis website, as it wasn't the most groundbreaking in design. However, it was functional and we liked the home page search mechanism where all we had to enter was location and dates we'd need a car. Their pricing was good, with comparable rates to other car rental services. We also noticed how good their selection was, with many options in our geographic area. Customer support is a joke here, as we never heard back from email support and the telephone rep was really unfriendly to us. They deserve 4.0 Stars overall.
