We were blown away at the number of college textbooks available on TextBooks, a staggering 7,000,000 and counting!
Not only is this site extremely easy to navigate, it has one of the best selections we've come across yet. It has a very fluid feel, as browsing through book categories was organized in uniform boxes--no eye strain here! We loved that the "Sell Books" section was completely isolated with complete instructions, making it simple to find what you need without being linked from page to page.

Although the site interface is littered with text and links, there is an easily-accessible search box, where you can enter ISBN, title, author or keyword. When we evaluated the TextBookx website, we were happy to find a bright and visually-appealing user interface. There were easy-to-read search boxes such as 'Search for items' and 'Sell your items,' making the college textbook experience effortless.
Star Reviews likes saving you money, and one cool feature we noted about TextBookx is the option to participate in the Buck-A-Book Program. Basically, you earn $1 for every book sale generated, just by referring friends! We also liked these features:
- TextBookx Marketplace-Buy and sell used textbooks here.
- Facebook Users-Buy and sell books directly through your profile!
We really appreciated that there aren't any listing fees charged for members to sell back their college textbooks through the TextBookx Marketplace. Many students are on a budget, and this site recognizes the fact. That being said, we weren't impressed with some of the textbook prices themselves, as their prices came in higher on seven books when contrasted with competitors on comparable book titles.
Customer support by email and telephone were both efficient, but the live chat would not load for our team on several test runs. The indexed Help database was fairly extensive, answering many of our questions. Overall, we decided this site earned itself 5.0 Stars!

Buy.com offers many products; the site is not solely a place to buy textbooks online. The website can be difficult to navigate for some online shoppers and there is not a customer service phone number provided for those who need questions answered immediately.

Buy.com has higher prices than other online textbook stores because their books are sold new and unused. This website will not appeal to everyone looking to buy textbooks online, as many college students like to sell their old textbooks to the store where they will buy their new textbooks for a seamless transition from one class to the next. The Buy.com return policy is a bit strict also when compared to other textbook stores. They earn 4.0 Stars!
