Complete Tax fell short recently of being the number one Tax Preparation service on our list but we were excited to take another look at it and see how it does this go around. We noticed a few minor changes to the site and the way the program works so we felt like it was our responsibility here at StarReviews to fill everyone in and let you know how it currently holds up to the competition. StarReviews Favorite Complete Tax Feature:
Our favorite feature for Complete Tax isn't even a feature at all. We loved the Basic return option that Complete Tax gives you as it is only $19.95 and includes things that most Deluxe packages don't even have. For that price, you get a return on any 1040 form, any filing status including children and dependents, and itemized deductions. Where else can you get all of that for that price? We can't think of any single place unless you did your taxes yourself and who really wants to do that, right? Just because this is our favorite feature, that isn't a feature, doesn't mean that Complete Tax lacks actual features that are worth noting but we just felt like we should put emphasis on their Basic package as it is one of the best deals we've ever seen. It is recommended for returning customers but will work just fine for new customers as well and you'll thank yourself next year when it comes time to do your taxes and you've already used Complete Tax's Basic feature so it's that much easier.
The Complete Tax Experience:
As soon as we get to the website for Complete Tax we immediately noticed how advanced their site was which we really appreciated. Many of the companies we have reviewed had sites that either had too much or not enough but this one had just the right amount. We were able to find the answers to any of our questions and find out pricing information for various packages with little to no problems. We also loved the fact that you can compare all your options with a diagram that puts them side by side and really lets you know what you're getting in each individual package. This will help you decide which one is right for you and help you stay within your planned budget as well. We even saw that they had placed some Tax Guides on the site to help you understand and prepare for any problem that may occur when filing your taxes and we all know that problems can sometimes occur. Inside this guide you will also get information as to any changes that have been made to the actual tax process such as exemption changes, standard deductions, how to make work pay credit, and so much more.
Things like these made our experience on this site a very pleasant one and we would definitely have no problem using this company for our own personal tax returns. Everything is right there in front of you and is put into terms that anyone can understand, even a caveman. On the right hand side of the page you will also see a few news updates and alerts that will keep you posted on any important information that you may need before or during your tax return process. All of these things piled into one make for a great site and the potential for one of the best tax returns companies we've seen.

Complete Tax Customer Support:
Everything had looked good for Complete Tax at this point so we decided to test out one more thing. We wanted to see how good their Customer Service department was and if they would be able to answer all of our questions and address our concerns. The first problem we noticed is that there was no phone number listed in the contact section. All we could do was fill out a form with our question and wait for a response via email. The only other option was to write them a letter and neither of them would seem to get us what we needed in time for us to complete this review. We really feel like they should have a phone number for support instead of just forms and snail mail methods. This won't hurt them too much but it will definitely keep them from beating some of the competition who offer the same services as Complete Tax but with a toll free number for support. It is something that we think they should invest in and would probably bring them many more clients. We won't give them a bad review for this one little factor alone since the program itself seems really good but we will take note of it to see if it changes in the future and keep everyone updated on that so you know.
