About Diet.com:
In an industry full of online diet services trumpeting their secret recipes for weight loss, Diet.com presents a refreshing concept: successful programs for diet starting by a good look in the mirror.
Led by internationally renowned Dr. Robert Kusher, the online diet service starts by examining your personality and offers suggestions on how to improve your weight loss diet objectives.
Diet.com’s Website Interface:
Diet.com’s programs for diets look at your personality style as the success factor to their weight loss programs. The theory of the overall program is defined by your lifestyle pattern. After subscribing as a premium member, you will have to fill out a questionnaire including close to 70 questions. You will then receive a personality type program and meal plans customized for your personality and lifestyle. Looking for fitness material? You will have the exclusive opportunity to watch Miss Massachusetts perform fitness routines through animated videos.
Diet.com is a refreshing opportunity in an industry clogged by providers offering the same boring type of online diet services.
Pricing plans and add-ons:
- While the basic membership is 100% free, you will need to subscribe to the premium service to have access to the programs for diet. You have two memberships’ choices:
- The 6-month savings plan: $2.54 a week plus initiation fees ($19.95), for a minimal 6 months period. Total: $85.65
- The 12-month savings plan: $2.29 a week plus initiation fees ($19.95), for 12 months. Total: A whopping $139.35
- Diet.com doesn’t offer any add-ons to their memberships plan. Although, you will get 2 interesting gifts after signing up in a program for diet
Customer Support:
Diet.com doesn’t offer a 1-800 number, which means you must contact customer support through e-mail. We can foresee see this being an issue for some people who prefer having their question answered on the spot.
We tested their e-mail service, and have yet to receive a reply?!
Their website was a pleasure to review, as all the information is presented without hoopla. You can easily access your buddy list, messages and other features within a single click from the welcome page.
The cost associated with becoming a premium member is higher than its competitors; therefore we recommend subscribing as a regular member first and making your own opinion by exchanging with other members though the message boards.
Upside:
Free basic membership – Great features – Large “diet buddies” community
Downside:
Costly membership – no 1-800 customer support number
Summary:
If you like a community vibe and alot of videos and multimedia, Diet.com is the place for you. What a fun website! You can sign up for diet buddies and even post videos on your online diet progress. Pricing is great here, as well, costing you $2.54 a week (plus $19.95 initiation fees) which will end up running you $85.65 for a 6-month period. Not terrible. Customer support could use some improvement, since our email inquiry went unanswered. But, they're an overall decent online diet service.
