Our Favorite eBags Feature:

We really liked the product description features found on the eBags website. The ability to examine each item in detail from different angles and view the different color options made it easy to see exactly what we were getting before actually making a purchase.

The eBags Experience:

eBags is designed with the serious shopper in mind. The pages are loaded with information and selections offering an enormous variety of bags to choose from. From the moment we entered the site we were made aware of all the specials and savings eBags had to offer and we noticed that eBags realizes most shoppers don't just look for deals, but for quality too.

At the top of the first page there is a tabbed navigation menu listing the categories of handbags that eBags offers. Along the side of the page there was a similar navigation menu allowing us to shop by brand.

Once we entered a category, a further listing is provided along the side in the same style as the other pages, offering a more specific listing within each category. Here too, you can shop by brand, by price and even by “lifestyle” ranging from “young attitude” to “special occasion”.

We liked the fact that eBags provides a ton of information on each bag to make sure you know everything there is to know about the product you are looking at. A large interactive photo is also available, allowing you to zoom in to a specific area, view the bag from various angles, and see it displayed in the various available colors.

As if that wasn't enough, eBags also offers an overall customer rating for each bag's appearance, durability, organization, price and value. When viewing one item, additional bags are displayed as items you might be interested in seeing. Overall, the shopping experience was very informative and very comprehensive. When you make a purchase from eBags, it's an informed purchase that you're not likely to regret.

We also liked the fact that eBags offers a “Loyalty Club” that converts 5% of your purchase dollars into points redeemable on future purchases. If you buy handbags frequently, this can be quite the money saver.

Customer Service

eBags offers a very informative help center containing categorized information as well as email and phone support options. We were also happy to see a “Live Chat” option, providing instant contact with a customer service representative. eBags seems to be on the ball in all areas of customer service. Email support got back to us the same business day, phone support had little hold time at all and live chat support connected us to a rep instantly. All methods of support addressed our questions clearly and thoroughly. What more could we ask for?

Upside:

Great product selection, in-depth product descriptions, free returns.

Downside:

We really couldn't find anything wrong with the eBags site, unless you want to count an overwhelming amount of choices.

I actually found ebags through my upromise membership and I figured I'd check it out, expecting to find "way-too-expensive" bags that I would never buy. However, I found their clearance had Jansport on sale and they had this bag that I had seen a year ago and wanted it so bad but it was like $65 then and they had it on ebags for only 19.99!!! And they had free shipping. I bought it and received it on the exact date they had for delivery. Awesome!!!
