Just When You Figured Out That Monster of a Fax Machine...
|
 |
|
You were so proud of yourself – you finally got down the ins and the outs of the monster of a fax machine. Hate to disappoint you, but that machine is going the way of the dinosaurs – eFaxing is now the way of the future.
When eFaxing services were first introduced they were well-embraced by small-business and individuals due to their cost-effectiveness, but lately even mega-corporations like Countrywide Mortgage,...

When our team came across the MyFax website, we thought their eFaxing service was fairly straightforward and intuitive. They offer a ton of features, many of which their competitors don't.
For starters, they really keep you in-the-know on using their service. There is a flash demo on utilizing their service, as well as online webinars and a 3-minute new user tutorial. If you have any questions or reservations on eFaxing services, MyFax will clear them up.
-
No activation or setup fees
-
MyFax Central-Organize and archive faxes, schedule fax delivery times, add personalized cover pages to faxes and store fax recipients' addresses and contacts.
Star Reviews loved the MyFax service. They keep things simple-all while offering great personal, business and corporate faxing plans. For a basic plan, it'll cost you $10 a month to send 200 fax pages and receive 400 fax pages. The customer support is right on point here, as well, offering 24/7 telephone and email support. Both were friendly to our team and were quite efficient. For their stellar customer service, competitive pricing and all-around features, they make our Top Rated placement with 6.0 Stars!

When we first landed on the eFax website, we weren't enthralled by their site layout. But, we dared to dig deeper and found a really great eFaxing service!
eFax is one of the original-and best-online faxing services we came across. One of the major perks of their service is their wide variety of clientèle: they cater to small businesses, individuals and corporations alike.
-
Get faxes and voice mail by email when you subscribe to eFax Pro.
-
Wireless fax access
Star Reviews loved eFax for their many unique features, such as their free eFax Messenger, online fax storage, voice mail via email and the ability to receive faxes by email on your mobile device. There's also a free plan that allows you to recieve 20 incoming faxes per month at one email address. If you opt for eFax Plus, expect to pay $16.95 a month and a $10 setup fee, which is a little pricey in our eyes. But, eFax Plus and eFax Pro members get 24/7 email and telephone customer support to assist them (free plan members can utilize an extensive FAQs database.) For corporations and developers, there are specialized, custom pricing plans available. We applaud eFax for their broad services and give them our Most Popular placement with 5.5 Stars!

RapidFax is a big player in the eFaxing service arena and we couldn't pass up an opportunity to check them out!
What we found here definitely stumped us. They're a great, simple-to-use service with alot of great features. But, we only found one pricing plan here. If you're a corporation or small business, this probably isn't the best choice for you.
-
No activation fees, Free toll-free numbers
-
Free 30-day trial.
Our team certainly had mixed feelings about RapidFax. While we think they're great for an individual or family, you won't find the service you need if you send a bunch of faxes or rely on faxes for your corporation. There is one eFaxing plan here: $9.95 a month including a toll-free fax number, 200 incoming fax pages and 100 outgoing fax pages. No setup fees either. But, if you like a diverse array of plans, go elsewhere. On a positive note, RapidFax has outstanding customer support by way of telephone, email and live chat. Their level of service was definitely high-caliber. They earned 5.0 Stars!

We really liked the simple, yet sleek website interface we ran into on the TrustFax site. They were definitely a great eFaxing service and we have no problem recommending them.
The first thing we noticed about their site was the plethora of pricing plans-great choices! You can also try out their service in a free, 30-day trial if you should feel so inclined.
-
No set-up or activation fees
-
TrustFax Filing Cabinet-save files, movies and music in addition to your efaxes.
Our team liked the many pricing plans and large-volume faxing features available here. If you're a big business or corporation, we think that TrustFax will have a plan that suits you and your company's needs. If you want just a basic Pro plan, it will cost you $9.95 per month for 400 pages received and 125 pages sent. There is unlimited inbox fax storage and 15 MB of file storage. Customer support is available via email which elicited a response for us within one business day. We would have liked to see telephone support, as all they offered was a sales line number. But, their service is pretty good overall, earning them 5.0 Stars!

When we landed on the Send2Fax website, we weren't thoroughly impressed. It was a little cluttered with text and some of the links didn't really apply to the service itself.
Send2Fax doesn't require users to download any software in order to utilize their service, since all sending and receiving of faxes can be done right on the Web.
-
Secure fax storage available
-
Toll-free fax numbers available
Our team wasn't enthralled by the Send2Fax eFaxing service. We have to note: if you do sign up for Send2Fax, make sure your inbound fax settings are set to delete faxes from the online database after 30 days or else you will be charged 1 cent per fax per month. There are three different pricing plans to choose from, the lowest being $11.95 a month for 200 incoming and/or outgoing fax pages. If you go above that number, you will be charged 12 cents per page faxed. Not wonderful. Customer support is only available via online form (which took a few days to respond) and a limited Knowledge Base. All in all, they receive 4.0 Stars!

MaxEmail was an interesting site to look at and we think they're a decent choice in eFaxing services. Initially, we appreciated their free, 30-day trial and liked that there were a bunch of personal and corporate plans available.
When we continued on and really delved into the site, we noticed that finding a local fax number was a bit difficult. For example, we entered our area code and no results were found. So, we entered another and were given a 'local area number' that wasn't even in the same state....
-
Voice mail service included with all MaxEmail plans.
-
Send and receive faxes via email and Internet.
Star Reviews definitely had a sour experience signing up for our eFaxing account on MaxEmail. After being given a 'local number' in another state, we were assigned a toll-free access number. One problem: you're charged a whopping 10 cents per fax page and/or voice mail received in addition to the regular subscription fees. Upsell, anyone? If you do go with the service, MaxEmail Plus is $9.95 a month with a $10 activation fee, which isn't terrible. But, customer support by email takes about 2 days...and doesn't always elicit relevant responses. The FAQs section was detailed, but a bit cumbersome to navigate. We're sad to say, MaxEmail didn't blow us away. They receive 3.5 Stars!
