ExpressTaxRefund.com is a new name to us but many have already experienced great success with this tax preparation service company so we just had to check them out. They offer a tax preparation solution that is available to anyone that wants it or needs it. We headed on over to their website to take a look at it and the services that they offer. While we weren't initially impressed with the template of the site, we did like some of the different options that we had to choose from so we were very eager to dig in and give everyone a review of this service. Our favorite feature of the Express Tax Refund service is something that we haven't seen too much of in the past. They offer live expert assistance which means that you will never be stuck on any part of the filing process and will always have someone who knows what they are doing there to help you. This is a very valuable feature that I think all tax preparation companies should take note on and begin to use as well. It will come in very handy for those of you that may end up needing it and it very well could be the main reason that people choose this company over others. If we could pick the feature of the year, this very well could be it as the people at Express Tax Refund took something that is relatively simple and turned it into a feature that will continue to bring new clients in on a regular basis.
The Express Tax Refund Experience:
When we first visited the website for this company, we thought it was some kind of joke. The way this site is set up is very simple and amateur in our opinion but we won't judge the services of the company based on how plain and simple their website is. It was nothing more than a solid white background with letters rotating in color between lime green and black. We were kind of surprised that they even had a logo at the top of the page because the rest of it looked like something out of a training manuscript for a retail store. Nonetheless, we moved forward and decided to give them a chance and see what we thought of them. At the top of the main page, we noticed that their main catch is the fact that you can file a return today and get it directly deposited into your bank as soon as possible. We felt like they should have a better catch than that but quickly changed our mind when we saw that USA Today had featured them because of their live expert assistance which we also picked as our favorite feature. We skimmed around the site a bit more and really couldn't find much information regarding their services, how they work, and what exactly they offer. Their site is very short in terms of details. You can almost tell that this is a small company with only a handful of clients. Some people may like the fact that this site is very simple but we felt it needed more.
All in all, the site is easy to understand and is pretty much straight to the point but it lacks
a lot of which we would like to see such as answers to our questions, more about their services, and maybe even a track record of their success. We couldn't find any of that on the site so we'll have to say that we didn't have a great experience with them at this point and aren't too sure whether or not we'd recommend them to anyone. Don't let it be set in stone though as it isn't tax time and we can't test out the actual return process on their site so they might have the best service in the world but their site surely doesn't show it or even promise it which we would like to see.

Express Tax Refund Customer Support:
At this point we were definitely hoping that they had the best Customer Support department that we had ever seen to make up for their lack of detail on the site but we didn't quite get that either. They did have phone support but it was only available on Monday through Friday and during the hours that most of us are at work which is from 10AM to 3PM. Those, to us, aren't ideal hours to have a customer support department open. It's fine if you have more hours than that but we feel as if you are going to be limited to which hours your department is available that those hours are a very bad choice. Either way, we decided to give them a call and see if they could answer some of our questions. After a few seconds of ringing we got an automated voice letting us know that a representative would be with us shortly. We waited about 5 minutes before someone finally came on and asked them a few questions about their company and the prices. The lady was extremely nice and gave us some very solid answers to questions that couldn't be answered by viewing the website. After we got done talking other, we noticed that the only other way to get in touch with their Customer Support department is via snail mail. We're not quite sure who is going to mail them a letter for customer support but if that's the preferred method that someone has then more power to them. We feel like the customer support at Express Tax Refund was very good but they need better hours and more ways to get in contact.
