In addition to reviewing some of the big names in online flower delivery, such as FTD and 1-800-Flowers, we just had to take a look at some of their lesser known competition. That's when we came across Flowers Fast, another online flower delivery website. We knew that ordering flowers online had its advantages over heading out to our local florist, but we wanted to see how Flowers Fast stacked up against the big online flower delivery guns as well as the smaller online flower delivery websites we have already reviewed. Take a look at what we found out.

Star Reviews' Favorite Flowers Fast Feature:
We really liked the fact that Flowers Fast has same day hospital florist delivery. If a friend or loved one has an unexpected hospital stay due to illness or accident, we were glad that we could have flowers sent to their hospital room right away. The ability to send Get Well balloons or a teddy bear alongside a floral arrangement is a nice option to have when sending a get well item to a hospital.
The same day hospital florist delivery is available with their "New Baby" selections as well. We were really impressed with the selections of new baby items on their site. From flowers and balloons to teddy bears and baby gift baskets, we knew would be able to purchase the perfect gift for new parents. They even have new baby "boy" gift baskets and "girl" gift baskets, which provides further gift personalization. When looking at the "boy" gift baskets, we were pleasantly surprised to see links to related gifts.
The Flowers Fast Experience:
The Flowers Fast website is simplistic and easy to navigate. Whether you are looking to send flowers for a funeral or for a birthday, it’s easy to find the right arrangement using the clearly labeled left-side navigation menu. We really enjoyed viewing the slide show on the homepage showcasing various holiday flower medley arrangements. However, we thought the photos of each arrangement needed to stay up a bit longer than the one or two second viewings currently available. Further, the flower photos are a bit small and were not as vibrant as some of the floral arrangement photos we viewed on other online floral delivery websites we reviewed.
We really liked the "Most Popular Flowers" link to help narrow down our choice. It's interesting to see what the most popular flower or gift arrangements are before making our final decision. We also loved the fact that Flowers Fast has other products besides flowers. For example, you can order bears, balloons, candy, and even gourmet gifts. You can even order an Eli's Sampler Cheesecake gift from Flowers Fast! The upgrade option from standard to deluxe to premium shows that they can hold their own to the big online flower companies too. However, we were unable to shop by color, flower (other than roses) or brand, which we could at other online floral websites.
Flowers Fast advertises same-day flower delivery on their homepage. However, when clicking on any of the flowers or gift categories, we found that same-day delivery only applies to Monday through Friday deliveries. We were a bit disappointed when we realized that.
One outstanding feature of Flowers Fast is in their "compare our prices" display, which shows that they truly provide discount flower prices. For example, a standard FTD Natural Wonders Bouquet at FTD.com costs $57.98 delivered, whereas it costs $47.85 delivered at Flowers Fast. We also thought the sort "By Price" menu items was a key feature, especially in today's economy.

Flowers Fast Customer Service:
Flowers Fast offers online contact form and toll-free phone customer service, but no live chat feature. When we called Flowers Fast to inquire about holiday deliveries, after four rings, we found that we were unable to reach a live customer service rep even though it was within their customer service telephone hours of 10am to 5pm EST Monday through Friday. We were only given the option of leaving a message. We thought this was odd considering it was the holiday season.
We also sent an online request through their "Contact Us" form and received reply within 3 hours. The reply answered our questions, but the response had capitalization and punctuation errors. We were not given any additional information other than what we were asked. We were not presented with any offers, discounts or upsells in that email communication.
