We really like the fact that FTD.com has same-day delivery options available. When you're a habitual procrastinator or you forget a very important day, FTD can come to the rescue and make it look as though you had a special surprise planned all along.
The FTD Experience:
FTD's website is definitely a bright and cheery place to visit. We enjoyed the aesthetic appeal and appreciated the fact that it was easy to navigate, making it easy to find exactly what we were looking for. You can shop by product, occasion or price. It was truly a no-hassle experience.
We really like the way FTD has implemented upgrade options available with some of the arrangements. For example, you can order the Pink Lily Bouquet for $39.99, or upgrade it to a Deluxe for $50.99 or Premium for $64.99. When you mouse over the upgrade options link, a window appears showing you the price and picture for each one of the options. This allows you to see exactly what you are paying for with your upgrade.
FTD even offers customers same-day flower delivery options. If you place your order before 2:00PM, in most cases, you can have the flowers delivered that very same day. This is ideal for those last minute gifts or the, "Oops, I forgot my Anniversary".
We also have to give FTD props for their awesome selection. From exotic blooms to basic houseplants, FTD.com has something for everyone. There are even manly floral arrangements you can send to dad for Father's Day and who wouldn't like chocolates with their flowers?

FTD Customer Service:
FTD offers customer service via email and phone. When we called FTD to make our customer service inquiry they answered their phones within just a few minutes and we were able to speak with a helpful and knowledgeable customer service rep. Not only did she explain the restrictions on the same-day delivery services, she was also able to give us information on some of the deals they were currently running. Email service was just as prompt, with FTD replying the same business day our inquiry was sent.

| Purchased FTD Gold Membership for $29.99 on one credit card. Then purchased flowers to be delivered for Mother's Day using a second card (you can keep one card on file, but specify other cards, per order, if you like). First issue: They charged the membership fee to the second card -- not the one I specified. Second issue: They never delivered the flowers. Third issue: It took two 28-minutes phone calls with two of the dumbest customer service representatives I've ever had to deal with to get it straightened out. They couldn't figure out how to credit the one card and apply the charge to the other card, so I wound up cancelling the membership altogether -- they just didn't seem to understand the basic issue. They offered a $15 coupon to reorder the flowers, but they won't send it by email, so I have to wait for it to come to me by snail mail. Never again. |

| No flowers were delivered to my mom on mother's day. 4 days later still no flowers. On hold for half an hour and told that it was not their fault, the local florist didn't have the flowers I wanted so they didn't send anything! They don't know why nobody notified me but if I want some flowers, they will put in another order. Now, my dad thinks I am lying because FTD is a reputable company...I just must have forgotten and am blaming them. Thanks FTD! |

| Do not use this service. We placed an order on Wednesday to be delivered on Friday. On Saturday we called the recipient to see how they liked their flowers. It never arrived. We emailed FTD Saturday. On Saturday we received a response: "Sorry, your order is not deliverable in that area. You need to call us to make a second choice." When we called, upset, they told us the earliest they could deliver was Tuesday! Plus they would knock off 40%. 40% off of NOT WHAT WE ORDERED is ridiculous. When we talked to a supervisor, they claimed that they had sent us an email on Thursday, which never happened. That may be their procedure, but obviously they have in-house issues with their customer service. USE a local florist!!!!!!!!! You will fare better 80% of the time!!!!!! |
