The Experience
Ticket information can be easily accessed by category, event, or venue. The home page offers a vast list of event categories including sports, concerts, and theater, and specific links to Las Vegas shows and ‘Hot Tickets’. Most orders ship via Federal Express, making tracking your order easy and reliable. Courier service can be arranged if ‘time is of the essence’.
If the ordered tickets are not available, Golden Tickets will refund 150% of the purchase price for the inconvenience, which means that customer satisfaction is very important to the company. However, cancellations are not accepted; they will, upon request, put your tickets on a ‘try to sell’ list.

Pricing
Disclaimer clearly states their prices are higher than the face value of the ticket, based on, as is specific to the brokering business, supply and demand. Federal Express charges range from $20 for three-day delivery and $40 for Saturday or international delivery. There is a $10 charge for tickets sent via email, as well as for tickets picked up at a will-call window on the day of the event.
When we compared the ticket prices for one event – GoldenTickets vs. the venue directly (the seating chart was viewed through the venue site) - the results were surprising. General admission tickets for a December 29, 2010 concert at a hotel in Vegas are $43.80 if purchased at the hotel, and $40.00, sans delivery charges, if purchased from Golden Tickets.
Customer Service
General inquiries may be addressed at 1-800-966-8258, and there is a dedicated customer service line for theater and concert tickets, (877) 424-2311. A friendly, agent answered our test call promptly, and responded to our questions without hesitation. We asked about availability for the Barbra and Frank concert in Vegas, and the agent made sure that we knew this was a performance by impersonators offering a compilation of their songs. This is actually a pretty big deal, as a competitor’s site offers these same tickets, but highlights the performers as ‘live and in person’.
This site does not offer a FAQ or Help page, but the website is inclusive, and customer service was excellent.
Upside
Golden Tickets provides a great online ticket buying experience on a site with precise, accurate information in a user-friendly format. Customer service is excellent, as well.
Downside
All sales are final and as it clearly states on site, refunds will not be issued (unless tickets are not available as promised). Tickets may also be delivered as late as the same day as the event.
