There are many products are on the market that claim to increase your fuel economy, but Neo Socket is an As Seen on TV product that boasts it’s as easy as plugging the device in to increase your fuel economy. When we saw it, we had to put the Neo Socket to the test! Let’s face it no one likes the gas prices these days, sure they aren’t what they were in the summer of 2008, but they are far from being stable and you just feel terrible when you see the price of every fill up. Star Reviews had to put the Neo Socket to the test to see if we could get positive results in a real world test of everyday driving.
Our test vehicle was a 2009 Toyota Corolla in which we had previously been seeing 27.4 miles per gallon (MPG) as read on the average miles per gallon display on the car. We plugged the Neo Socket into the 12v socket (cigarette lighter) and reset the average miles per gallon display to begin our test, about 4 weeks later, 2.25 tanks of gas and around 800 miles later our tests were complete and the Neo Socket proved to be a winner! Our average miles per gallon were now reading 28.8 MPG, an increase of 1.4 MPG or roughly 5.1% increase in fuel economy.
We were really impressed that the product could take a normally fuel efficient car and improve on it. No doubt that the product over the course of the year would pay for itself in some automobiles, it definitely passed our tests. Star Reviews gives the Neo Socket 6 out of 6 stars, our highest rating. It is an As Seen on TV product that lives up to its claims, it’s so easy to use and it puts a few bucks back into our pockets!
