Shoe Dini Video Review

As we get older, many of us suffer from back pains or arthritis, making it difficult to do simple things such as bending over just to put on our shoes.  With the Shoe Dini, you get the reach you need without straining to bend over since the device has a telescopic handle that locks in place.  Additionally, unlike other shoe horns, the Shoe Dini has a clip on the back of the shoe horn that helps to hold your shoe in place while you try to put your foot into it, or to assist you in removing your shoes.  StarReviews took the time to test the versatility of the Shoe Dini to see if it really does what it claims.

With the Shoe Dini, you will receive an easy to assemble two piece product that consists of the shoe horn with a built-in clip to hold down your shoes, and the telescopic handle that easily screws together.  The attached clip is wide enough to even fit over the backs of athletic shoes and thin enough to use it with women’s heeled shoes, so you can virtually use it with any shoe.  The telescopic handle gives you about a three foot reach when fully extended.

During our test, we used a basic slip on shoe.  We were able to reach our shoe with no problem, and the clip slipped over the back of the shoe with ease.  The clip held our shoe in place and allowed for us to easily put on our shoes.  To remove our shoes, we put the shoe horn clip back over our shoes and pushed down with the locking mechanism to remove our shoes.  Although the infomercial states that you are able to pick up your shoe using the Shoe Dini, we were unable to do so.

Pros:

  • Great product that does extend to the full three feet as promised, to prevent bending over and back strain
  • The clip works great in assisting with holding down your shoes to put them on or take them off

Cons:

  • Infomercial stretches the truth about the product picking up your shoes for you, as this is not something we were able to do during our real life test of the Shoe Dini

Overall, the Shoe Dini receives 4 out of 6 stars from StarReviews for being a great product. However, the infomercial did stretch the truth about the product giving you the ability to pick up your shoes without bending over, so we couldn’t give it a full six stars.
