Move.com is a comprehensive website for apartment seekers who are looking for apartments for rent as well as those looking to buy a home, find senior living centers, manufactured housing, and even places to build a home! Because the Move.com website is affiliated with the Realtor.com website, it is the only rental website that has exclusive access to all of Realtor.com's listings.
The Move.com Experience:
When we visited the Move.com website, the front page surprised us, offering much more than just a rental guide and apartment search engine. The site also offered access to real estate listings, senior living searches and more.
Searching for apartments for rent on Move.com proved to be very easy and the search options were quite in depth, allowing us to narrow our search results to just the properties that offered exactly what we were looking for.
The finance, home and garden and moving sections of the Move.com website were also very well planned and had lots of useful information for those looking for a new place to live.
The Rental Listings Search:
In the process of writing the apartment rental service reviews, our team entered the same search criteria into each apartment finder website in order to compare the results returned. The search criteria included all apartments in downtown Chicago with a price range of $500 to $1,000 per month that allowed cats and/or small dogs. When we performed this search on Move.com, we were presented with the following results, listed by apartment name and price ranges:
- The Sovereign: $575 - $775
- Lake Meadows: $612
- Scholars Corners Apartments: $650 - $1,200
- Twin Towers: $723 - $1,345
- The Wyndham: $750
Customer Support:
Move.com offers a help section with answers to many frequently asked questions. The company can also be reached via phone and an online support form. When we phoned customer support, our call was answered promptly and by a knowledgeable and courteous representative. Our email request was also answered promptly (the same business day), although the response was a bit short and seemed canned.
Upside:
Separate search for senior housing options, easy-to-use search feature, access to a multitude of other features and services.
Downside:
Some apartment seekers may find the Move.com website to be a bit convoluted due to the array of options and services offered. Email support not very personable.

| I found this site because I was looking on Realtor.com and noticed a pop-up for this site as well. It's actually powered by Realtor.com, but it has some GREAT features in addition to searching for apartments and homes (which, my issue is that it only comes up with apartment complexes in my area whereas Realtor.com came up with privately-rented apartments as well). Anyway, they have great features on the site such as a drop down menu for "moving" where you can get coupons and tips for moving. You can also find moving companies and trucks and compare pricing. This site was great for a first time mover such as myself!!! |

"Move" has got millions of real estate listings from all over united states. You can search homes by realtor.com You can also search new homes. Move.com also offers for rentals search. The website also provides for finding information for Home Finance, Moving, and Home Garden. Home Finance section provides for finding Home loan rates, tools and calculators to calculate monthly payments and Home affordability. It helps in getting mortgage quotes, insurance quotes, Home Value Projection beside the other useful information. It also provides for Credit Report generation, Refinance information and so on.
Moving section provides for all the useful information on the moving right from planning for it, finding the mover to finally moving to the desired home.
'Home & Garden' section offers for tips on how to decorate your home and garden.
All in all its end to end solution provider.

| I was recently searching for an apartment when after trying my other companies; I decided to look through move.com. I like the site for easier navigation and great pictures of the apartments as well as the descriptions. However, when it came to selection, it seems that this company was very limited, or catered to higher income customers. I would recommend this site for its pictures and great site navigation, however I would compare with other sites before selecting a apartment for you. Even though I did not use this site for my new apartment I will recommend to all my family and friends. |
