Norton AntiVirus 2009 Experience: When we first installed Norton AntiVirus 2009 we expected to be slowed down by a overburdened program. We couldn’t have been more wrong. This year’s antivirus program not only installed quickly, but it also took up much less space on our systems then previous versions.
Once we had Norton up and running we were impressed with the speed in which this program operated, not to mention that system resources were not over taxed in the least.
The interface was typical of previous versions but it did seem to be a bit cleaner and more friendly to the user. Norton AntiVirus 2009 was able to quickly and effectively remove many threats on our computer as well as block a variety of threats that attempted to gain access to our computer and the system scan time was shorter than many of the other ones we encountered.
We know Norton has had its problems in the past, but they seem to have improved their product (and their support) by leaps and bounds with this 2009 release.
Norton Anti-Virus Pricing: Norton AntiVirus 2009 is available in 2 different length of service for 1 PC as follows:
- 1 computer for 1 year for $39.99.
- 1 computer for 2 years for $74.99.
Norton AntiVirus 2009 Customer Service:
Norton AntiVirus 2009 comes with access FAQ pages that do offer quite a bit of information for those who like to dig through data. Phone support was also available, but not as comprehensive as we’d liked to have seen. That leaves most users to resort to the paid help desk option, which while extremely effective, will set the user back some money. Overall while Norton has made customer support improvements, there is still room for them to evolve. Upside:
Faster operation and installation, protection from a multiple threats, many new features and options.
Downside:
Customer service is still severely lacking.
