As the demand for online people finder services increases, so does the number of sites making these services available. The question is, which of these sites deliver great people finder results and which offer nothing but empty promises? That's what the Star Reviews team set out to uncover when we were researching sites for our online people finder reviews. PeopleSearchNow was one of the sites we looked into. Wondering how well they stood up to the Star Reviews challenge? Here's the scoop...
What’s New with PeopleSearchNow People Finder?- Find classmates.
- Find a date.
- Email searches available.
Our Favorite People Search Now Feature: While the PeopleSearchNow website really didn't impress us in general, they did have an interesting blog for us to read. Through it we were able to access interesting people search articles and read information on tools and resources for finding those we've lost touch with.
The PeopleSearchNow Experience: We'll let you know right up front – PeopleSearchNow did very little to impress us. The search pages are rather rudimentary and the actual searches themselves seem to be powered by other search websites. The classmate search, for instance, is powered by Reunion.com. You can run the initial search through the PeopleSearchNow site, but you're then directed to Reunion.com where you have to pay $60 a year to get access to the actual search features.
We were also a bit surprised to see that the actual people finder search led us to a competitor site we had already reviewed (PeopleFinders.com). If your searches are going to be routed through another search site, isn't it better to just visit that site from the get go?
Besides the irritating search redirects, we were a bit perplexed by the site in general. The front page had us looking at eBay listings (for baby monitors, of all things) at the top of the page. Don't know how this ties into people finder services, but I'm sure there's some rhyme to the reason.
Overall we have to say that PeopleSearchNow gave us the impression that it is a quickly put together people finder portal. It doesn't really offer any services in and of itself, but directs visitors to other search services. Perhaps if the site offered some extra customer service we could see a purpose for it, but this wasn't at all the case.
PeopleSearchNow Features:- Online people searches.
- Classmate searches.
- Find a date.
- Email search.
- Background checks.
PeopleSearchNow Pricing: PeopleSearchNow really doesn't charge for the searches being performed since they just redirect you to other search websites. A classmate search, for example, will direct you to Reunion.com where you can pay $60 a year to sign up for an account. A people finder search will take you to PeopleFinders.com where prices range from $2.95 to $49.95.
PeopleSearchNow Customer Service: The customer service offered by PeopleSearchNow was rather quite laughable. First and foremost, you have to click the About Us link to get to any contact information. Then, at the bottom of that page, an email address is listed – but it's not even in email format. Word for word, the customer service email addy is listed as "admin (at) peoplesearchnow (dot) com". Don't bother trying to email though. We never got a response when we sent ours in.
Upside:
Multiple search types available, website is easy to navigate. Downside:
Not really a people finder service website at all – it's more of a search redirect.
