Almost everyone has the need to locate someone they've lost contact with. Perhaps it's a biological parent you've never met, or a best friend you didn't keep in touch with. Maybe it's an estranged sibling or an old flame. No matter what the reason, if you need to locate someone fast, today's online people searches are the way to do it. The question is, which ones will get you the results you need for the best price possible? That's where our online people finder reviews come in. We researched the top people finder websites, including PeopleFinders. How did this site do when compared to the others we looked at? Here's the scoop...
What’s New with People Finders?- People search gift center.
- Free sex offender email alert program.
- Employment checks now available.
Our Favorite People Finders Feature: We really liked People Finders' free sex offender email alert program. By entering our email address and physical address, we were given a map and a list of all of the sex offenders in our area (including photos). If new offenders move into our area, an email will be automatically sent to us. If you have children who play outside this is a priceless tool – and it doesn't cost a dime.
The PeopleFinders Experience: When we first hit the PeopleFinders homepage we weren't overly impressed. Cheap advertising seemed to plague the page. We could have done without the banner across the top telling us we'd won something for being the 10,000 visitor (wonder how many people get that message?) and the banner on the bottom asking us about our credit score.
Once we got past the tacky advertising, however, we found some very valuable resources on the site. The free sex offender email alert was a huge plus in our book. We were able to sign up for notification of any sex offenders living in or moving to our neighborhood – and it was free.
The actual people search process on this site is pretty much identical to the competition. Enter the first name, last name, city and state and you get a list of possible matches. Choose the closest match and buy the report you need. Simple, straightforward and to the point.
One thing we did like about PeopleFinder was the pricing structure. The per-report pricing was much lower than most of the competition and you have the option of buying 30-day unlimited search memberships for less than $40. Considering some sites charge that for a single report, we have to say that PeopleFinders made up for in pricing what it lacked in website style.

PeopleFinders Customer Service: PeopleFinders offers customer service via an extensive online FAQ as well as email and phone support.
The FAQ really covers most of the questions a person would run into when using the service, including what the site offers and how to register and use the products. If, however, you don't find the answers you're looking for online you can either email or call the company (even though finding the contact info was a bit of a navigation challenge).
Once we located the email and phone support information (navigate to the "About Us" page instead of the "Help" page and then go to the "Contact Us" link) we were able to call the company and speak with a friendly rep who was more than happy to answer any questions we had. Email support also proved to be efficient, responding to our request the very next day.
Upside:
Free sex offender email alert program, live support available, competitive pricing. Downside:
The depth of the actual report information may be questionable.
