After logging onto the website for Protect America, you will want to head straight to the Advantage tab to see what sets them apart from their competitors. They are not afraid to name the top two security companies ADT and Brinks Home Security as being more expensive and inferior compared to what they have to offer. They blow their competitors out of the water when it comes to out of pocket and monthly service charges and if you buy any of their home security packages online, they sweeten the deal even more. The premium package which is a GE Wireless Security System includes up to 15 contacts, a motion detector and a garage door sensor all for only $99. The Copper, Bronze and Silver equipment packages are all free if purchased online!

We like the fact too that Protect America’s support staff is available to assist their customers from early in the morning until late at night as well as on weekends. Too many companies have 9 to 5 business hours which do not fit most working people’s schedules. We also like that they have one contact number instead of 5. One phone call is all you have to make to get answers to billing questions, get technical support or to order new equipment and service.

A Protect America installation specialist will arrive at your home and can have your entire security system set up in less than an hour’s time. This is great for people who have to take off work in order to be home during the installation process. However they do not offer a free trial for their monitoring service.

An added bonus for Protect America’s customers is that they reward them with benefits such as free satellite systems, discount movie tickets and more.

Our favorite feature about Protect America has got to be the cost of the equipment which is FREE! Not only do they give you the equipment but they give you 3 window or door contacts instead of the traditional 2 that most security companies give in their basic package. Most home security companies charge a minimum of $99 for the basic equipment. Free is always good in our book.

I am cancelling service with Protect America after having 2 properties, and 5 years of loyalty with them. First, when you call to cancel they "transfer" you to the dept that handles cancellations but really they're transferring you to someone who tries to get you to stay. That's when they offer to match any price you've seen out there. Only when I've decided to leave will they offer me a competitive price. Onec the rep has finished their sales pitch to keep you as a customer, that's when they tell you have must write a letter to cancel service. I've been paying $30-$35 a month, and found several reputable companies who will do monthly monitoring for only $8.95 with internet tracking capabilities and so many other features. I do not recommend Protect America to anyone, for price, quality, and service reasons.
