With a plethora of tips, assistance, and other services we felt that iUniverse has certainly done their homework on how to run a successful company. The Community section of their site offers authors the ability to showcase their work to other members, as well as communicate with one another.
iUniverse’s customer service is also top-notch. While you probably won't need to contact the company very much (information is readily available and easy to find on the site), it’s still nice to know that they are available should you need their help. The associate we spoke to was humorous, friendly, and of course very helpful.
All in all, we feel iUniverse does a great job of meeting the needs of authors interested in self publishing services. They earn 6.0 Stars!

Okay, we don’t want to be redundant in our review, but we cannot stress enough how much of a ‘one stop shop’ that AuthorHouse.com is. From editing, to design, to publishing, to sales. Authors are given the full package of services, but they do come with a price.

Upon first glance, we almost walked away when looking at pricing, although after further review there is really no need to sink money into any other aspect of an author’s book after signing on with AuthorHouse.com.
The book store is a great feature, but not one that is uncommon to this particular industry’s web sites. We did like the layout and structure of it, which made it a breeze to navigate through, and find the books we were looking for. It’s also nice from an Author’s standpoint to have their book sold on their self-publisher’s web site.
We have to compliment AuthorHouse on the customer service that they provide. We were able to get clear and concise responses to all of our questions.
In conclusion, AuthorHouse is a great pick for any author that wants to simplify their self-publishing experience, while receiving support from a strong service-backed company. They earn 5.5 Stars!

The packages might appear expensive at first glance, but for what’s offered within them, it seemed reasonable to us. Of course we really can't justify some of the company's pricing, such as the $99.00 fee to get a copy of your manuscript on CD.

The customer service available from Xlibris really does set standards in regards to competition. What drew us in was the 24/7 toll free number, as this is something that just about every business should offer. Let’s face it – most authors don’t work 9-5 hours! Still yet, we’d like to have seen a live chat feature and fewer follow-up sales calls.
That being said, the packages available from Xlibris are truly comprehensive. With plans starting at as little as $299, Xlibris likely fits within most authors’ budgets. Of course, if you’re willing to spend a bit more, you’ll get even more in the way of options.

Unfortunately the web site is somewhat of a drawback. Our reviews team found navigation to be extremely difficult, confusing, and otherwise arduous. With a bit of work here, this company would rank fairly high among their competitors.
All-in-all, we really enjoyed the variety of features that SelfPublishing.com offers. We also cannot stress enough how great of an idea the pick-and-choose pricing is, as it prevents you from paying for services that you’ve no intention on utilizing.
